SL Corporation Announces New Version of SL-GMS Developer and Custom Editor for Microsoft .NET

SL Corporation®, a leading provider of application and service-level system monitoring solutions, today announced that version 4.1a of its SL-GMS® Developer for .NET and SL-GMS Custom Editor for .NET products will be available for general release at the end of this month. This new release includes the support for transparent graphic objects, and will be available for both the 32-bit and 64-bit Windows versions of the products.

“Support of transparent objects was one of the requested enhancements from our OEMs,” said Rodney Morrison, Vice President of Products for SL Corporation. “With these enhancements to the 64-bit Windows version of the SL-GMS products released last September, we continue to be committed to supporting our important partners and customers in developing the most powerful yet easy-to-use advanced control and monitoring systems, and in delivering these solutions quickly and confidently.”

SL-GMS Developer for .NET has been leveraged by the world’s leading solution providers to develop and deliver control and monitoring systems that require powerful and fast Web deployments. With SL-GMS, the same highly interactive and content-rich Windows application developed for the desktop using Visual Studio can be easily deployed as a Web application in any of four options leveraging Microsoft technologies: Browser/XBAP (WPF), Web Application/ClickOnce, Browser/SmartClient/IEHost (up to Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5), and Terminal Services Web Access.

The sophisticated yet easy-to-use, dynamic GUI or HMI required by these advanced control and monitoring systems can be easily and interactively edited using SL-GMSDraw. This tool enables rapid prototyping by allowing users to immediately preview the behaviors of their dynamic GUI in development using simulated data. Additionally, SL-GMS Custom Editor for .NET technology offers solution providers the ability to develop a solution-specific, easy-to-use authoring tool for its end users in a couple of man-months, which could otherwise take several man-years.

High performance, content-rich Web deployment and a custom editor provide unique value for the needs of the most advanced control and monitoring systems, and are based on the proven visualization and monitoring technology for real-time data that has been SL’s core strength since 1983.
